The Trump administration is planning to deport a new group of alleged Venezuelan gang members under the Alien Enemies Act, according to emergency legal filings from immigration advocates.

Lawyers for Venezuelan men detained by the Trump administration asked the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday to block what the lawyers said were the men's imminent deportation without the judicial review required by the Supreme Court.

Lawyers for the Venezuelans said they're not getting the chance to contest their deportation despite the Supreme Court's ruling that they be allowed to do so.

In May, the Supreme Court will hear on the legality of Trump's executive order to redefine who birthright citizenship applies to.

In a series of lawsuits, plaintiffs including 22 Democratic state attorneys general, immigrant rights advocates and some expectant mothers argued that Trump's order violates a right enshrined in the U.
