Partner Showcase might have featured a new Plants vs Zombies remake, Monster Hunter Stories 3 and a pair of new Square Enix HD-2D titles, but there was one game conspicuous by its absence. Again.

Once again, Hollow Knight: Silksong was noticeably absent from the latest Nintendo Direct on Thursday. While nothing was confirmed ahead of the event, many fans were hopeful that this would finally be the moment for a long-awaited update. Any sort of new developments since its announcement in 2019 have been lean at best.

Hollow Knight Silksong has had a second demo opportunity confirmed, and you'll be able to get hands on with Hornet if you're at Gamescom.
