Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has warned that the team will refuse to play in the future if his players are not given a minimum of 72 hours’ rest between matches. The LaLiga giants have also escalated their complaints over scheduling on Saturday.

Real Madrid has declared it will no longer play games without a minimum of 72 hours rest in between. This follows a demanding schedule with a match against Atletico Madrid leading up to a victory over Villarreal.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti on Friday complained about calendar congestion, saying that his players will have only 72 hours of rest since their Champions League round-of-16 4-2 penalty shootout victory over Atlético Madrid before facing Villarreal.
