Patrick Dempsey has revealed the reason he won't be returning for Scream 7. The Grey's Anatomy star first appeared in the 2000 sequel Scream 3 as Detective Mark Kincaid, but was unable to return for the fourth instalment as he was filming Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

While initial reports indicated that Dempsey was in talks to return to Scream 7, negotiations ultimately failed. Dempsey has now confirmed the reason: scheduling conflicts brought on by the catastrophic California wildfires.

Unfortunately, Patrick Dempsey will not be returning in his role as Mark Kincaid in the highly anticipated Scream 7. The actor has confirmed this himself.
