The Orioles acquired relief pitcher Scott Blewett from the Braves for cash and activated outfielder Ramón Laureano off the 10-day IL.

After parting ways earlier this season, the Baltimore Orioles have brought back reliever Scott Blewett in a trade with the Atlanta Braves.

One more Orioles outfielder has made his way back from the injured list this week. On Friday afternoon, the O’s activated Ramón Laureano from the IL, where he’d been placed on May 24 due to a left ankle sprain.

The Baltimore Orioles made up for a past mistake, trading for Atlanta Braves reliever Scott Blewett in a shrewd maneuver on Friday afternoon.

It was reported yesterday that Atlanta was going to designate Blewett for assignment but it seems they lined up a trade before even getting around to that DFA.

It did not take long for right-handed reliever Scott Blewett to find a new home. Perhaps it would be more accurate to refer to it as a previous, short-term home.
