The reboot will unify the MCU into a singular timeline, allowing Marvel to recast legacy characters like Iron Man and Captain America. Feige compared the process to other iconic franchises: “They’re looking for a new James Bond. David Corenswet is the new Superman, and he’s been incredible. That’s always how it works”.

Justin Hammer came up while Sam Rockwell was chatting about his 2025 movie release The Bad Guys 2 with ComicBook. When asked if he was tired of getting asked about his MCU character and the franchise, the actor responded:

In July 2024, it was confirmed that Downey Jr would be returning to Marvel to play the villain Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. The film, set for release in December 2026, features a huge cast including Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan and Pedro Pascal among others.
