The Detroit Lions will be busy this year on the holidays, playing the Vikings on Christmas Day on Netflix in addition to the annual Thanksgiving game.
The full NFL schedule for Christmas Day has been released. The NFL and Netflix announced that the Cowboys will visit the Commanders at 1 p.m. ET and that the Lions will be in Minnesota at 4:30 p.m. ET on Thursday,
The Vikings and Broncos have each played on Christmas a total of four times. Minnesota is 1–3 in those games and Denver is 2–2. Neither of the two played well during their last Christmas appearance, with the Vikings losing to the Saints 52–33 in 2020 and the Broncos getting crushed by the Rams 51–14 in 2022.

Ahead of the NFL's full 2025 schedule release Wednesday night, Netflix announced its Christmas Day slate of games.
The Cowboys/Commanders game will air 1 p.m. ET on Christmas Day, while the Lions/Vikings will face off at 4:30 p.m. ET. CBS Sports will produce the game coverage with NFL Media producing pregame, postgame and studio halftime programming.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the two NFC North foes will square off on Thanksgiving at 1 p.m. at Ford Field, meaning the Lions will play a division rival for a third year in a row. The game will be televised on FOX.
The NFL released its complete 2025 schedule on Wednesday, and while there are literally dozens of exciting matchups on the slate, the holiday schedule is particularly intriguing.
