DC Studios co-head James Gunn shared his thoughts on the 'dying' movie industry and updates on 'The Batman' sequel.

James Gunn is giving his version of a eulogy for Marvel. The Co-Chairman and CEO of DC Studios, who also helmed the MCU's "Guardians of the Galaxy" trilogy, told Rolling Stone that it was in part the "mandates" for more content on Disney+ that "killed" the MCU IP.

James Gunn has been making headlines for his frank and insider remark to Rolling Stone about what went wrong with the MCU. To the surprise of no one, the issue is Disney forced Marvel to crank out too much stuff. “That wasn’t fair. It wasn’t right. And it killed them.”
