Florida is bracing for a dangerously hot heat wave at the start of the week. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Heat Advisory for the Sunshine State, including the Central Florida region.

The Treasure Coast and Okeechobee County will be under a heat advisory starting Tuesday from noon to 7 p.m. This means hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illness. Heat index values of 108 to 112 degrees can result in major to extreme heat risk for the area.
