Human remains were found Friday in Virginia Beach while police were investigating the disappearance of Vicky Cartwright, a woman who went missing in 2023.

Jody Saunders, a spokesperson for the Virginia Beach Police Department, said the department was called to the 1000 block of Eaglewood Drive, near Oceana Boulevard, in reference to the case of Vicky Cartwright, who has been missing since 2023. During the search, officers found human remains. It is unknown if the remains are Cartwright’s.
