Bayern Munich winger Mathys Tel has rejected a move to Chelsea before the end of the January transfer window, according to reports in Germany. Chelsea explored the possibility of signing the 19-year-old earlier this month but the winger was aiming to remain at Bayern for the remainder of the season.

Tottenham are set to rival Chelsea and a number of clubs across Europe in the race to sign for Mathys Tel after he pushed for a transfer away from Bayern Munich, sources have told ESPN.

Chelsea have agreed an £800,000 deal for England midfielder Keira Walsh to join on the Women's Super League's transfer deadline day. Barcelona had been unwilling to sell but it is believed Chelsea's bid was accepted late on Wednesday evening and Walsh is due in London for a medical on Thursday.
