The BBC has apologized to staff who felt unable to report Russell Brand's misconduct, after a review found past concerns weren't properly addressed.

The BBC has apologised to staff who felt they could not speak up with concerns about Russell Brand's behaviour because he was seen as "too influential" and they felt he "would always get his way and therefore they stayed silent".

An internal investigation by the broadcaster examined eight complaints involving Brand when he was a radio presenter.
