Texas quarterback Arch Manning admits that being the backup was tough after playing every year in high school.

Former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy, now an ESPN commentator and Birmingham radio host, started a firestorm Monday when he said a “very-much-in-the-know” person seems to believe that Nick Saban “is not done coaching … pretty adamant that he thinks Nick Saban will be coaching again.”

The pressure may now be on Manning. But it may be that the wait to play has Manning feeling less pressure and more relief to be playing.
