Target to end 12-year price match perk with competitors
Target is set to discontinue a popular price matching perk that has been available to shoppers for 12 years. Starting July 28, customers will no longer be able to request a price match for products found at a lower price on competitor websites such as Walmart or Amazon.

Target is ending price matching of products sold for less at its competitors' stores and websites. For 12 years, Target customers who found a product that was sold for less on Amazon or Walmart's websites could request to buy the same product that was sold at a Target store at the lower price.
To get a price match at Target, you'll need to show the employee at checkout that the item is cheaper on the Target website.
