The most populated city in the United States might also have the most polarizing mayoral race of any other. The New York City mayoral race features a disgraced former governor, a surging socialist, an incumbent with his own legal troubles, and other heavy hitters.

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has a strong chance of winning the New York mayor primary, latest betting odds show. Cuomo's odds of success stand at 82 percent while his nearest rival, Zohran Mamdani, is on 19 percent, according to Polymarket, at the time of publishing.

Ramos is staying in the race, but because her low polling numbers and inability to raise money make it impossible for her to prevail, she is asking voters to rank Cuomo first. CBS News New York's Marcia Kramer reports.
