I have seen large family groups in the gardens previously - there doesn't seem to be a limit as such, and of course each person pays an entrance fee. There's a lot of space available so it's a case of picking your spot and setting everything up. I cannot imagine the park objecting so long as the group respects others around, the park environment etc. Clearly there's no braii's allowed or facilities for one either.
Does one need to book tickets for Kirstenbosch if one is a member of the Botanical Society? Or can one just use one's digital membership card to gain entry?
A:
I don't have a card but you can phone the gardens office. I am a visitor and make use of a Tuesday free entry for Pensioners.
