The touristy thing to do. It was on the SF list, so I did drive it. Make sure with these SF hills you have good brakes! (LOL) There wasn't anyone driving it when I had come but then after me came 6-7…Full review by Stacy G

It's a lot smaller than I expected! It's still worth a look. Packed with tourists. We took a cable car to the top of the hill, walked down and back up!Full review by tr8v2l3r

Short quite a steep street, but pretty short, too. I decided not to drive, because there was a que. If you really want some crazy photos that it is worth to wait a bit.Full review by sebastjanf2015

Buy the 3 day ticket for the street cars and ask the conductor. We travelled from the terminus at Union Street to get the full effect. Bit of a walk up the hill to the top of Lombard from the tram stop, but well worth the effort. Just be aware that people actually live on the street, so a bit of common courtesy goes a long way.

I believe so. There's a proposition of collecting tolls from drivers who are driving down Lombard street, which to many, find it quite ridiculous, but it is what it is. i am not sure when that will take effect notr if it has been approved. I am sure they will put a sign up there on fees before you proceed down. You can always park at the lower area of the attraction and take photos.

No, there is not a parking garage nearby. You would have to park at Fisherman’s Wharf or North Beach garages. There is on street parking at the top of the block (Hyde St) and below (Leavenworth). However, it is limited and beware, we’ve had a rash of car break-ins so be sure not to leave valuables in your car! You can take the Cable Car (Powell & Hyde St line) or an Uber or Lyft as good alternatives. The 45 bus line stops at Union and Hyde a couple of blocks away.
